ECSS discipline Q-60 EEE Components
This webinar covers the ECSS discipline Q-60 EEE Components.
The course will cover:
- The practical relevance of EEE component PA from the ECSS Q-60 discipline, the associated processes and milestones, and risks associated with the omission of requirements;
- The benefits of an adequate and timely implementation of requirements in the project and mission context.
The course will provide attendees with a basic awareness of necessary engineering activities, decision criteria for component selection, the identification of general risk areas, information resources and where to find expert support.
The content of the course will include the scope and coverage of the ECSS Q-60 discipline, the context and relevance of normative references and EEE component qualification systems (ESCC, MIL, JAXA), the concept of pre-tailoring as manifested in the definition of 3 classes, Component Programme Management activities, Manufacturer and Component Selection, Parts Approval and Procurement, the differentiation of quality levels, the significance of Radiation Hardness Assurance, the treatment of non-standard components, specialist support needed and available.
The objective of the Q-60 EEE Components course is to develop:
- a basic understanding and appreciation of PA requirements for Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical Components;
- a basic awareness of necessary engineering activities, decision criteria for component selection, the identification of general risk areas, information resources and where to find expert support.
